Founded in 2013 and named for its original address at 214 East MLK, 214 Modern Vintage, now at 314 Russell, has grown into one of High Point’s most artful and unexpected destinations—though the name occasionally throws off the pizza delivery guy.

Guided by founder and creative director Steph Schofield—who transitioned from graphic design in the apparel industry to interiors during the early blogging boom—214 Modern reflects her passion for design as a form of storytelling. 

What truly defines the showroom, however, is the collective creativity of its dealers. Hailing from across the country and often rooted in diverse artistic fields, each dealer contributes a unique lens. The result is a dynamic, ever-changing space, renowned for its rigorously cultivated collection of vintage furniture, art and sculpture.

Named by Garden & Gun as one of the best vintage shops in the south, 214 is housed in a 7,000-square-foot former machine shop. Each market brings a completely fresh mix—restocked daily as one-of-a-kind pieces leave the floor. It’s a place infused with energy and openness, where everyone feels welcome.

Beginning in November, 214 Modern will be open weekdays by appointment and Saturdays 10am-4pm.
