There’s something kind of cool about a company beginning its second chapter in the hands of people who already speak its language. When Stuart and Leyla Gans acquired Uniq’uity, they brought with them decades of experience in textiles and sourcing. And as the founders of Classical Elements and M2C Studio, the Belgian-born textile company seemed like a natural addition to their world.

At the heart of Uniq’uity are beautifully woven textiles incorporating linen, alpaca, wool and cotton—often blended to play up their best qualities—fashioned into throws, pillows and poufs with relaxed texture, subtle color and an easy sophistication. There is also a collection of outdoor textiles designed to bring that same tactile sensibility beyond the living room.

From their High Point home base, Leyla and Stuart are carrying forward Uniq’uity’s Belgian roots, informing an intimate kind of luxury defined by exceptional natural fibers, nuanced weaves, thoughtful details and pieces intended not simply to decorate a room, but to be touched, wrapped up in and lived with.
