When Design Heals: How Interior Design Shapes Health

Science in Design® brings you a full day of educational excellence exploring the powerful convergence of science and design, featuring leading minds from the fields of science and design, neuroaesthetics, biophilia, color, marketing and more.

Highlights on this year’s agenda include:

Keynote: The Biophilic Brain: How Beauty and Biophilia Impact Brain Health: Jennifer Walsh an accomplished beauty, wellness, and biophilia expert, who serves as Strategic Advisor, Penn Center for Neuroaesthetics, University of Pennsylvania and Faculty Advisor, Brain Health Initiative, Harvard University.

Health in Nature’s Colors: Lori Weitzner, creative director, author and artist, will explore how natural color palettes influence emotion and support mental and physical wellbeing.

The Health Benefits of Fractal Patterning: Andrea Keller, Past Professor of Architecture and Design, University of Southern California and Co-Founder of Star Tile, will demonstrate how fractal patterns found in nature can be translated into interior spaces to reduce stress and promote healing.

In addition, Ericka Saurit  founder of Saurit Creative will speak to integrating scientific insight into your marketing, branding, and design messaging to elevate client trust and engagement; Justin Alves, Head of Design at Jola Website Development, will discuss how and why to incorporate neuroscience and biophilic principles into digital design. Editor Andrea Lillo will also moderate a panel with Science in Design credited interior designers.
