Educators Exchange
The HPxD Foundation is partnering with High Point Schools Partnership on a new initiative called The Educators Exchange: Pathways into the Design & Home Furnishings Industry. Designed to connect community and industry, the program will introduce local educators to the wide range of creative, skilled, technical, and entrepreneurial careers that exist within High Point’s home furnishings and design ecosystem.
The initiative kicks off with a community reception at Cohab.Space on Monday, June 15, from 4:00–6:00 PM. While the Educators Exchange is designed for participating educators, this opening event is open to industry and community guests. Kindly RSVP here.
The evening will feature a brief welcome program followed by a dedicated speed networking experience, where approximately 50 educators will meet with industry professionals representing a variety of career paths. Through a series of roundtable conversations, educators will gain firsthand insight into the many roles that power our industry.
Guests are invited to explore the Cohab campus and enjoy the outdoor garden space while connecting with fellow community members.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impression on the educators who help shape the aspirations and career awareness of the next generation.
While there is no charge to attend, guests are encouraged to support the missions of the HPxD Foundation and Cohab.Space through a voluntary donation. Contributions will be shared between the two nonprofit organizations, both of which are committed to developing future talent, strengthening workforce development, fostering creativity, and ensuring a vibrant future for our industry.
The Educators Exchange is made possible through a grant from The City of High Point, with the support of High Point Market Authority, Verellen, Universal Furniture, THS Creative, and WithIt.
