At the upcoming High Point Market, antique dealers will unveil new troves of old things sparkling with past-life karma. These one of a kind pieces are often the thing that energizes a room and gives it story, quirk and soul.

Chelsea on Green’s opening night Market party sets the bar high for antiques, and the 38 dealers and artists that exhibit at Chelsea are always excited to show their stuff first. With furniture, decorative accessories and original art spanning five centuries—c. 1700s to the present—Chelsea has become a go-to resource for designers and curators alike.

With a laser focus on 20th Century Design from Scandinavia, Italy, France and the United States, the PRB team has curated a mindblowing stash of over 8,000 vintage items ready to ship. Showing at Market for the first time, they will have a compelling selection of goods on display at the new 313 Space. The High Point warehouse will be open by appointment. Founders Rudi Nijssen and Dominique Sente-Nijssen cannot wait to welcome you to Collected by Schwung’s new High Point HQ at 313 Space. A former hosiery mill, their redesign of the building is dramatic and beautiful, with the first floor reserved for Schwung’s assortment of alluring case pieces, seating, handmade Moroccan wares, and other curious accessories from France, Czechia, Belgium, and Scandinavia—all slated to be future heirlooms.

Circa Loft is HPxD’s newest member, and we’re excited to welcome this nearly 25-year old business into the fold. Starting out as a niche importer, hand-selecting antiques to bring back from remote villages in Tibet, Circa Loft has grown to include contemporary pieces crafted from reclaimed wood and other solid materials, as well as an eclectic assortment of accessories, and cool dining chairs.

 

 

 

 

BLUE OCEAN TRADERS | 105 Depot Pl.

There will be a line to get in—there always is—and the staff at Blue Ocean Traders eases the wait with doughnuts, coffee and juice. Once inside, you’ll find cool one-of-a-kind pieces from Europe, India, Indonesia, China, Morrocco, Egypt and Africa plus a preview of a brand new line of furniture that will officially release in 2025.

 

 

ASIAN LOFT | 625 W. Ward Ave.

Asian Loft is celebrating its very recent move to an iconic High Point destination, the former Henredon showroom. Nearly doubling its size, Asian Loft’s revamped flagship is adjoined to a 20,000 square-foot warehouse which translates into unprecedented access to hand-selected one-of-a-kinds, furniture and decor from around the world. Join owners Lieve and Steven Sonneville in toasting the new space.

Golden Oldies is the resource for year-round treasure hunting in High Point. Be prepared to explore multiple floors of cool old s@*t gathered from around the world, spanning several centuries in an abundance of styles. Here vintage lighting and upholstery mingles with medical cabinets, ornate dressers and old champagne buckets, plus curious relics from carnivals, old hotels and shops. In addition to the flagship on Broad which serves cocktails nightly, during Market you can shop at The Annex at 416 S. Elm and venture into their warehouse down on English.
