Francisco Pinedo learned the art of tufting and channeling by reupholstering lowrider cars in his garage in South Central Los Angeles. His mother was an accomplished seamstress. These skills combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and devotion to comfort led to the founding of Cisco Home, with his wife Alba, in 1990.
A hallmark of comfortable California living, Cisco’s slipcovers became the company’s early calling card. The collection has grown to include a range of aesthetics – modern, casual and formal and standard options that include leg shapes and stains, seat and back fill variations and green technology. A founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, the wood used in the collection is FSC Certified and many of the other materials are organic and sometimes repurposed.
In late 2023, Cisco Home relocated its headquarters to High Point, NC, moving into the historic Highland Mill the company purchased in 2005.
